Not yet, though we hope to one day.
Standard shipping within the contiguous United States takes 5-7 business days. Delivery times may vary with location and season. If you're lighting for an upcoming Yahrtzeit, we gently recommend ordering at least 2 weeks ahead, so your Memorial Candle arrives with time to spare.
When your order ships, we'll send you an email with your tracking number and a link to follow your package home.
We understand how unsettling this can be, especially when a date is near. First, check around your delivery area and with neighbors, as packages are sometimes left nearby. If you still can't locate it, contact us at shalom@kislevnewyork.com and we'll help sort it out.
Subscriptions
You can visit your account at account.kislevnewyork.com anytime to skip a delivery, choose a different candle color, update your address, or change your payment method.
Yes, whenever you need to. Simply cancel from your account before your next billing date. Any order already being prepared will still be sent to you.
Returns, Damage, and Order Errors
Because our Memorial Candles are made to be lit in remembrance, all sales are final and we're unable to offer refunds or exchanges. If your order arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, please let us know. We'll make it right. Read our refund policy here.
We're so sorry. We know how much this moment can mean. Please email us at shalom@kislevnewyork.com with your order number and a photo of the item, and we'll send a replacement or the correct candle as quickly as we can. If you're lighting for a specific date, let us know and we'll do everything we can to have it there in time.
Candle Use & Care
Learn more about the custom of lighting a memorial candle here.
We designed Kislev candles to live beautifully beyond the ritual they were created to hold.
Once the candle has burned its course, the vessel can be cleaned and given a new purpose; a pushke (tzedaka box), holding flowers, keepsakes, matches, or whatever feels meaningful to you.
Give your vessel a second life.
- Remove remaining wax
Place the vessel in the freezer for several hours. Once the wax has hardened, gently loosen it with a butter knife or wooden tool and remove it. - Clean the vessel
Wash with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap. Use a soft cloth or sponge to remove any remaining wax or residue. - Remove the wick tab
If a metal wick tab remains, gently lift it from the bottom using a butter knife or similar tool. - Dry thoroughly
Rinse and dry completely before using the vessel again.
Please do not pour melted wax or wax-filled water down the drain. Avoid boiling water or sudden temperature changes, which can cause glass to crack.
